Rebuilding the Wall

'Rebuilding the walls' is the theme for the 2013
North England Conference
In both a morning and an afternoon session, NEC President, Pastor Lorance Johnson, emphasised the now familiar vision of Nehemiah to 'rebuild the walls', laying out his strategic plan around three principle goals:

 ·To build a real meaningful relationship with God

· To build loving relationships with fellow members

· To build saving relationships with others

Pastor Johnson sees this "not as a top down strategy, but as something for every area, every church board to consider, discuss and implement at their local level." He noted that "people are getting tired of the gimmicks and the display. There is a desire for a transforming relationship with God."

The vision to 'rebuild the walls' has now been clearly shared. It will continue to be enunciated. Pastor Johnson believes the gauge of success will be in seeing transformed lives, developing churches and growing mission. He concludes, "We want to empower our people to realise that change can happen."
